But to be honest, not everybody has the budget to create a social media ad, right? Then how we can still create great traffic to our platform? Well, now, if you are an avid player of social media, and your insight and engagement stuck in the same position as before, here we have something up our sleeves to share with you!

First of all, the most important things when creating content is knowing your audience. You have to understand what caters to the needs of your future leads. You also need to know your business positioning, and what you can offer to your clientele.

Secondly, knowing the perfect time to post. According to studies, the sweet spot is a consistent 1-2 post a day. We know, the best time to post on—for example, Instagram—is also critical, especially when dealing with the platform’s algorithmic timeline. But you can easily switch your posting time according to your own platform insight. You can also do some trial and error to find the most perfect time to post through your own social media platform!

Third, we want you to know that social network is supposed to be a ‘visual inspiration platform’. You should captivate audiences through images and video, not simply preach marketing missives at them. To increase engagement rates, become a storyteller instead, offering ‘micro-stories’ via your captions, videos, stories, profile, or you can also try sharing user-generated content that resonates with your brand.

Fourth, choosing the right hashtags! Some of us might know the importance of hashtags, some of us might don’t. Selecting the best hashtags for your Instagram posts can mean the difference between appearing as a top post or sinking to the bottom of the feed without a trace.

Never make your hashtags too generic – think #travel or #beauty – and your post will face competition from potentially millions of others. Instead, use a mix of trending and industry-specific hashtags to find the best hashtag to connect with your targeted followers. The number of hashtags you deploy is also critical. While Instagram allows for up to 30, a mass of tags underneath your caption risks looking both untargeted and unprofessional. That’s why 91% of posts by top brands use seven or fewer hashtags to get many likes. To help decide which is the right number for your brand, identify how many hashtags your competitors and sector influencers typically use, then experiment with differing hashtag volumes on your posts until you find your sweet spot.

Last but not least, you can also have a partnership with some of the brand influencer or create a campaign to generate more traffic to your platform. It’s essential that we understand the definition of what is an influencer in the first place, planning out an influencer strategy that features a short trial campaign period to see how receptive the influencer’s network of followers is to your brand. You also need to ensure your influencer is given the right tools, resources and guidance they need to carry out their role effectively and work hand-in-hand on the campaign with you as true partners.
