Sneak a Peek into Social Media Marketing

July 09, 2019

We guess we don’t need to tell you how huge social media play in marketing nowadays!

Now with 3.484 billion growth of active user in the last decade, social media is the fastest growing trend in marketing history. That being said, almost four out of every seven humans on this planet has a Facebook account. Crazy, right?

In fact, 3.26 billion social media user use it from their mobile device. With this jaw-dropping increase in mobility, we’re so addicted to checking our mobile phones and the social media apps on them that there’s even a word for our obsession—Nomophobia, the fear of not being near your mobile phone.

With such widespread use, social media presents an incredible marketing opportunity. If you’re not using social media marketing already, you’ll either have to learn it now or lose in the long run.

Now, let’s dive into definition first, to extend your understanding towards the phrase. We define social media as creating visual and effective interactive wordplay, shaped to the context of each media platform to drive engagement, desire, and actions.

We must understand that each platform requires a different strategy to go viral. But right now, everybody competes to be viral. What you can do is creating engaging contents that make the user want to re-share it to her circle. Without such content—it is not impossible, but we are sure you will face a rocky path in your social media journey.

A decade ago, you can easily post something interesting, and easily grow your media platform just like magic!

But today, that’s not the case. In fact, most social media platforms are making it difficult each day to build an organic audience growth. And guess what—as crazy as it sounds, it is intentional. Social media platforms rather make money from your ads spent than give it in a simple way—as they claimed to be.

We must come to understand that all social media platforms are a business. They do business by connecting you to your clients in an easy way. Now, let’s dive into the tricky part. We already know as organic reach goals become difficult; we can’t depend on compelling content marketing anymore.

Ads spent on multiple social media platforms become our main focus point, but it means we must have to own some tricks in our sleeves and watch out to measure our own effort to see what works and what doesn’t.

From our experiences, without using the ads, it is still possible to grow your own media platforms. But it takes a great effort, such as creating the great contents, re-sharing it to other platforms, using targeted specific hashtags, some user-oriented tags, or even locations. Creating an Ad make it easier for you to develop your social media marketing to reach your targeted user and creates leads for your business. The better the ads, the less money you will spend to reach your audience.

To create a better ad, first of all, we must choose the right social media platform for your business to invest your money.  Second, we must understand the combination of our market and play it as our strategy to create ad content. Usually, we also use some comparison from similar ads to roughly measure the ad outcome. Lastly, we must use the most effective and engaging keywords to pitch the interest from your audiences.

If you are not too fond of the ads (either because of lack of trick knowledge, funding issues, or anything else), as the saying goes—all roads lead to Rome, we can have the other option, such as using merging channels or tools to generate more audience. We must know that there is always a new way of communicating, reaching customers, creating developing leads, and innovative strategies.

In a wrap, social media marketing may not be as easy as it sounds, but we can learn it through some experience. Here at Eyesimple, we want to help people's business develop and grow using our experience, knowledge, and strategy in every platform. Would it be yours? (cbk)
